There's no way to improve speed when loading a remote directory. The only option is to load the contents on the background and allow you to work with an incomplete listing.

Hi Admin,
when i open a directory have many many files on winscp, winscp will take along time to count and list file and sub directory in current directory. This is not a bug but you should find some solutions to improve the way to list directory have many many files.
