I have simulated your server using the log and I do not see empty listing. I see 21 directory entries, but with no names. Is this what you see?

In all cases it seems like server-side problem.

Hmm, anyway if I find time, I'll try to parse the response and post here the results. I find it interesting that the response has 2kb, but WinSCP does not list anything.

Okay, to eliminate hidden, I set WinSCP to login to the / directory where there are known files and folders viewable with RWX privs. Here is the log. Do you think this is a OpenSSH bug? I should have mentioned earlier that the Commercial ssh.com Tectia does the same thing?

What is your server? On what OS? Can you post a log file?

Client is - WinSCP3.7.2 (Build 262)

Server is - OpenSSH 3.7.1p2

I login and authenticate successfully but the directory listing is empty and it does not show any of the directory structure on the server using the gui. Same result from command line sftp.

When I drag and drop a file, the file is transferred but I do not see it in the window. I use the command line to verify the file was successfully transferred.

WinSCP>Commands>Server/Protocol Information says that "The server does not support any SFTP extension". SFTP is Version 3 and SSH Protocol is 2. Any ideas on why I am unable to see the directory listing?
