All 4 of the 562 builds failed the same way. I'm happy to try anything else you'd like me to.

I've sent you an email with links to few intermediate versions to narrow down the issue.

Good call. I tested from version 5.7.2 working my way back through previous versions. The problem seems to be versions 5.6.2 and later. 5.6.1 works, 5.6.2 doesn't.

Thanks for the test. Can you try to find an exact version that introduced the problem? Was it really the 5.7? I.e. is the 5.6.5 working?

Hi. Thanks for responding. Unfortunately the debug version fails the same way as the normal version and the debug file isn't created.

WinSCP 5.7.2 not launching

Hello, The problem I'm seeking help on is that WinSCP does not run


Version: 5.7.2
In trouble shooting, I determined that version 5.5.6 works ok on this machine. The problem seems to start with version 5.7.0

The OS is Windows POS Ready 2009 (XP Embedded)
I believe the transfer protocol is SFTP but we're not getting to that point.
Neither the GUI nor the scripting/automation seem to be working

The System EventLog shows this error: Application popup: WinSCP.exe - Application Error : The application failed to initialize properly (0x0000142) Click on OK to Terminate the application.

If any additional information is required please let me know. I'll do what I can to get it to you timely.
