inserts "/" at the begining of CWD command

I am using WinSCP 5.9.2 to connect to Mainframe but facing issues with listing the directories. When compared with 5.7.6 I don't see this issue. How can we stop version 5.9.2 from inserting "/" at the beginning of the CWD ?

Version 5.7.6 works fine
250 Transfer completed successfully ...

Version 5.9.2 inserts "/" and results in
250 Transfer completed successfully ...
550 CWD cmd failed. No such file or directory
