What program it is?

If you create new file in the same directory, will it show in file panel? If not, does it work in other directory?

Please use a program that logs to a file e.g. every 0.5sec. On both Windows2000 and WindowsXP the local directory will be refreshed when the log file is not modified for more that 1sec (approximately).
If you do not like to write such logging program, please read your email, I will send to you such exemplary program shortly.

Best wishes

1) On Windows2000 - pressing Ctrl-R refreshes the directory content, i.e. the size and time of "file1.log" which is continously changing. If I select the "file.txt", press F2 and enter a new name, an error window containing "Invalid access to memory" message appears.

Are you unable to rename file anytime or does it happen only under certain conditions?

2) Is there an option to set auto-refreshing directory content in WinSCP ? I was looking for this but I did not managed to find it.

The directory content is refreshed automatically. I do not know why it does not work for you on Win2k.

Rename (F2 key) error

Hello,
I have the following: WinSCP opened in a directory in which a logging program is running that continously logs something to a file "file1.log". There is another file "file.txt". There are 2 situations that I observed:

1) On Windows2000 - pressing Ctrl-R refreshes the directory content, i.e. the size and time of "file1.log" which is continously changing. If I select the "file.txt", press F2 and enter a new name, an error window containing "Invalid access to memory" message appears.

2) On WindowsXP - pressing Ctrl-R is not necessary because WinSCP refreshes the directory content itself (every about 1 second ?). Selecting the "file.txt" and pressing F2 key allows to rename the file, but when new refresh period passes, the renaming is interrupted.

Now questions:
1) What with the error in point 1 ?
2) Is there an option to set auto-refreshing directory content in WinSCP ? I was looking for this but I did not managed to find it.

Best wishes
