Martin, yes! It would be great to have that option. Right now I have tried to get around this problem with splitting my team sessions to 2 equal size .ini files. It helped but it's a temporary solution. Now we've got new servers and the problem is back.
I would be very grateful if you would be able to add this option. We update our .ini file every ~1-2 weeks so we need to update our .ini files only once in a while.

WinSCP reload the sessions, when opening the Login dialog. That's what takes so long.
Would an option to skip the reloading help?

Yes, I'm using WinSCP.ini file. But when I changed it to registry there is no difference, it takes ~15-16 seconds to load all sessions.

Are you using an INI file (from your reference to "lines")? Does it get faster, when you use registry instead?

Martin,
I use 5.9.6 (Build 7601) version, it's the latest one.

Re: Huge amount of sessions, application loads too long
What version of WinSCP are you using?

Huge amount of sessions, application loads too long
Hi all,
My team use WinSCP for each environment we own. There are a lot of machines and our list of WinSCP sessions is pretty long (>5000 sessions). It takes over 31000 lines in WinSCP to store these sessions. When I click on "new session" button I must wait ~20 seconds to see all sessions.
Is it possible to optimize it somehow? How to make this application work faster?
