I have the same issue on Windows 10.
When I double-click on WinSCP icon, the message 'memory could not be written' appears and WinSCP exits.

Please help

You must have left a debug version of winscp.com behind.

Hi,
We recently upgraded from Win 7 to Win 10. When trying to step through the code I'm getting a popup WinSCP.com - Application Error:
The instruction at xxxx referenced memory at xxxx. The memory could not be written.

This is happening on the winscp.Start() line and the XML log is not being created either. This code previously worked on Win 7. The permissions for the XML log directory and the compatibility settings on the WinSCP.exe file were all retained after the upgrade. Please offer any help that can uncover a solution.
