Client certificates not working properly?

Tried to connect from WinSCP 5.11.3 (latest) to another system using a SHA-256 signed certificate. Debugged to a problem in the CERTVERIFY TLS 1.2 message that it put an incorrect signing algorithm on the message, rather than SHA-256. It put (6,1) (SHA-512,RSA) rather than (4,1) - SHA256/RSA which is the certificate that it sent. Has anyone else seen this?
