"Reading remote dir" - No window - process takes 99% CPU

On opening WinSCP connections to two of my machines, after login, the dialog breifly says "Reading Remote Directory" then disappears.

I see no windows, or tasbar icon.

Going into Task Manager, I see the WinSCP process taking 99% CPU, and its mem utilization infinitely climbing.

The systems it connects to are using:

OpenSSH_4.2p1, OpenSSL 0.9.7a Feb 19 2003

and

sshd version OpenSSH_3.8p1, OpenSSL 0.9.6c 21 dec 2001

How do I figure out why?
