I'm not sure I understand your question. What exactly is your problem?

Setting TransferOptions.FileMask cannot result in a change of file names.

Please attach a full session log file showing the problem (using the latest version of WinSCP).

To generate the session log file, set Session.SessionLogPath. Submit the log with your post as an attachment. Note that passwords and passphrases not stored in the log. You may want to remove other data you consider sensitive though, such as host names, IP addresses, account names or file names (unless they are relevant to the problem). If you do not want to post the log publicly, you can mark the attachment as private.

Using Wildcards in FileMask for File Transfers

I'm using VBScript to download some files that have the month and year as part of the filename.
e.g.
abc_Mar-2001.out.zip
abc_Jun-2001.out.zip
abc_Mar-2002.out.zip

I can successfully download all of the "March" files, using GetFiles and
TransferOptions.FileMast = "abc_Mar*.zip"

An earlier attempt using
TransferOptions.FileMast = "abc_Mar*.out.zip"
worked, but resulted in downloaded files with names:
abc_Mar-2001.out.out.zip
abc_Mar-2002.out.out.zip

Is there some guideline for the use of wildcards that I have overlooked?
