Re: Read only - 2nd user editing permission

There's no such warning.
I've only meant that this is technically possible (as opposite to what you have asked for).
But it's not implemented.
The request for the functionality is here:

How can I get this warning? It seems that if me and my "colleague" are adjusting the same file, we do not get any warning now. How to switch it on?

Read only - 2nd user editing permission

Hi All,

I am just wondering about if there is a chance how to set up the editing permission.
Found out, that in case more users are trying to open and edit the same file on the server, it is not givin any pop-up that the 2nd user is making changes. That's why I have notices we can miss, or overwrite any changes done by 1st user.

Is there any chance, how to set up winscp to get a pop up for 2nd user, that the file is already open and somebody else is editing that file? You know, the same way how it works with "Read only" due to file opened by another user same time.

Is there any chance how to do that? To avoid any overwrites?

Many many thanks.

Kind regards,
Peter
