Re: closing connection when connected to university network

It's difficult to give any hint here. Can you try to disable your Windows firewall temporarily? Is there anything in the server's log what may give some hint?

hello,

I've read a LOT about "Server unexpectedly closed connection" error, because I'm getting one. It's a bit weird, because it is bound with a certain strange thing – I am in college, and this error seems to appear ONLY when im in my room. when i go to another building (the same network though), everything works fine. I even tried different laptop to use my network cable and my network connection in my place, and IT WORKED. The only problem seems to by my laptop in my room. My laptop in any other room is fine.

I've tried this in W7, ubuntu 11-10 and another W7 system (format). I DO NOT QUITE SEE THE POINT OF THIS and im really desperate. My network administrator seems to be losing it, as he "doesn't really know how is that possible". This is my error log:
