This sounds like a great idea - is there likely to be movement on this anytime soon?
Hi!
I use git, who doesn't? I also synchronize my projects with the server all the time, it would be neat if WinSCP could use gitignore directly instead of defining own ignore patterns.
Hence following feature request:
When starting to synchronize (or Keep Remote Directory Up To date) the WinSCP has an option to look for .gitignore (at least from the root sync directory) and use that.
The syntax of .gitignore may vary, but even if WinSCP supported non-regexp patterns (the begin matching) it would be really helpful.
Thanks, still the best program to synchronize under Windows.
