@alxesc: The current version of WinSCP cannot work this way.

I have the same issue, How can I use the right panel (remote panel) with a local folder as is working in left panel, I just want to copy or move files locally between left and right panels, just like the old NC used to work, but is disabled since I installed.

@mathd98: Are you aware that WinSCP now starts with the main window opened (and the remote panel disabled)? Only after you login, the remote panel activates. Or do you mean that the remote panel is disabled even after you login?

I updated to the above version and for some reason, I can only see the contents in left panel, but the right panel is greyed out, Appreciate any help to accomplish it.

Hi,
When I try to open/edit a file in winscp remote panel, both the options are greyed out. And when I double click it opens the file properties instead of opening the file in edit mode. If I instead copy the file to local folder and double click it works fine.
I checked the Preferences > Panel > Double click to Edit and also remote panel options. Nothing helps.
I am attaching screenshot of what is greyed out and the settings. Your help is appreciated
