Re: Certain folders won't let me do anything, how to force it?

That does not seem like a question about WinSCP, but rather about the NAS you are connecting to.

Certain folders won't let me do anything, how to force it?

Hi all I am trying to edit one of the .xml device profile files on my nas drive. This is simply to change the sort order when using dlna and I did it on the previous version of the same device. However on the new device the file system is slightly different and the folder I need to edit the file in will not let me edit it or create a new one. It almost seems as though this folder is read only. I have tried copying and pasting in other folders and it works fine but it's the folder the file needs to be in where it won't work. Is there a way I can force it to do as it's told?
Many thanks,
