Re: WinSCP Hangs

You have cyclic symlink there, WinSCP cannot handle these.

WinSCP Hangs

Hello all!

Well, I'm new to WinSCP but I'm having a problem connecting to a site. I am trying to connect to ipaq3.handhelds.org. Its a free collection of terminals running Linux on Ipaqs and I can compile code without having a cross-dev setup on my home box. You can see their homepage here: <invalid link removed>. I actually have a Zaurus 5500 but I can compile here and run the code on my Z.

Here is my system:
1.1 Ghz P3
512k of mem
Windows XP w/sp1 and all hotfixes
I can ftp/telnet et all out to the net through my cable modem.

When I try to connect to ipaq3.handhelds.org with a username of guest and no password it does this:
Looking for host
Connecting to host
Starting Session

then it never returns. No error, no BSOD no nothing. I have to end the task as its 'not responding'. I can start WinSCP over again but its just the same.

Now there are a lot of files in the root dir of this host. I'm thinking that maybe thats the problem.

Any help you could pass along would be great!

Thanks!!
-P

Update:

I turned on the log and it went pretty far but became slower and slower until I get a quick "abnormal termination error" and everything closed.

Log is attached.
