Re: Keep Remote Directory Up to Date is transferring 0kb files

The issue is solved.

1. Appears that whenever the connection is lost to the FTP server, WINSCP is prompting for password, but somehow the empty files were transferred. Saved the password for auto connection & the issue is solved.
2. The file transfer to take place every 15 minutes, so the first time it transfers a file on 15th minute interval, it shows 0kB, the second interval transfer 30th minute, will replace the 15th minute interval file with actual file & 30th minute interval file will again be 0kb, so there is a 15 minute lag in each transfer. This is ok for me.

martin

Can you please provide some comments to the log? Like what files were transferred incorrectly. Or what files did you successfully transfer manually afterwards.

Please post a session log file showing both the upload by "Keep Remote Directory Up to Date" and the manual upload of the same file.

Keep Remote Directory Up to Date is transferring 0kb files

Hi,

OS: Windows server, Winscp GUI

I'm syncing my remote folder with my local folder using FTP protocol. Every 15 minutes a file (~5 kb) will get generated in the local system & the same has to be pushed to the remote folder over FTP. I have used the option "Commands" -> "Keep Remote Directory Up to Date". However the file pushed to the remote directory is of 0 kB and don't have any data.

I've changed the KeepUpToDateChangeDelay=50000 in the windows registry.
Selected the Preferences -> Commander -> compare by time & compare by size (both selected)
Selected the Preferences -> Transfer -> Endurance -> All files option. but same issue
Attached log for your reference.

P.S : If I manually use the commands -> synchronize -> "Mirror" by using "file size" option, it is identifying the o kB file and gave me an option to replace it. But it is manual and not automated. Kindly help !!

Thanks in advance. KC
