The file panel filter cannot be persisted. But to hide the hidden files, you do not need to use the filter. There's a separate option for that.

How to Make the File Mask Permanent - Currently Resets When WinSCP is Restarted

So i like using the File Filter Mask to hide certain files including some that start with "." -- supposed hidden files. The issue is when i filter them out they return again when WinSCP restarts. Anyway to keep the change permanently?
