Re: grab XLS/x from commander pane, won't open

I'm not sure if you have answered this:

Can you be more specific about the "doesn't seem to recognize it"?

Hi,
2-click of file name: WS editor opens machine code.
r-click & Open: nothing happens/ no response. Which is somewhat strange because the user has short-cuts on the desktop that open with either a 2-click or r-click, open.

Can you be more specific about the "doesn't seem to recognize it"?

Also, cannot you use the Open command, rather than the Edit?

grab XLS/x from commander pane, won't open

Hi, I have 2 users opening Excel files via context menu "edit with Excel" (saved the option after the first time).
Problem is the 3rd user: they use excel as SAS/cloud -- so their exe/local kickoff is a (!)zero length excel entry in the Windows 10 directory.
In Win Explorer you can double click that entry and Excel opens. But WinScp doesn't seem to recognize it.
Anybody know a means to this end? thanks.
