Re: Windows 11 Laptop / WinSCP

Did you try to compare trace route? Also, unless you can connect with any other SSH/SFTP client, I do not think this is WinSCP issue. Consider asking it at Super User.

Re: Windows 11 Laptop / WinSCP

Yes, both on same network. Took the laptop to a local Optimum hotspot, and got the same results, so the issue is with the laptop, not the network. Very puzzling!

Re: Windows 11 Laptop / WinSCP

Are the two machines connected to the same network?

Re: Windows 11 Laptop / WinSCP

BOTH are using the SFTP file protocol. Just tried again today after a Windows update. I CAN ping the remote IP (a Raspberry Pi running Linux), but WinSCP will still not connect, and neither will PuTTY. Not sure how to debug this. (Thanks for the reply!)

If you cannot even ping the server, it does not seem to be a WinSCP issue.
Can you connect with any other client using the same protocol? Did you double check that you are trying to use the same protocol on the new machine as on the old one?

Windows 11 Laptop / WinSCP

I have a new 2022 Lenovo laptop with Windows 11 Home. WinSCP will NOT connect to my remote system running Linux. I just get a connection timeout. I CAN connect to the remote system with my Main PC on the same network. I am stumped. Turning off the firewall doesn't help. I also cannot ping the remote system from the laptop, but can from the main PC. Anyone else experience this? Looking for any suggestions.
