Re: Taking a long time to open a remote folder which has large number of files

The directory contents is cached. Then why it's faster when you return. But I assume that if you refresh the contents, it will again take long. Won't it?

Taking a long time to open a remote folder which has large number of files

The transfer protocol is WebDAV.

The remote folder has 8,000+ files. If I try to open it the first time after launching WinSCP, it will take a few minutes to open the folder.

Subsequently, if I browse to other folders and come back to this folder again, it will take only around 2s to open the folder.

Is there any setting that I can change so that the initial opening of the folder can be much faster?
