Re: figured it out

Changing the default transfer settings preset indeed changes the default transfer settings (even for synchronization).

Changing the other presets take effect, only if you select that preset on the synchronization dialog.

For repeated synchronization tasks, scripting might be indeed a way to go.

figured it out

I figured it out. Or at least figured something out. In the preferences changing the DEFAULT transfer settings made a difference. I first tried changing the "Exclude directories" but those values look like they are not used? or less important. In any case my sync mask is now loaded automatically.

As an aside. In trying to figure out this mask thing introduced me to WinSCP scripting. Looks pretty helpful. Excited to try it out.

So, thanks again. All good here.

sync mask not saving

Hi,

Thanks for this program. Could you help me understand how to save a sync mask?

  • the mask I make works but it's gone the next time I sync.
  • checking 'use same options next time' doesn't save the mask in the same session or from one sync to the next.
  • Options > preferences > transfers > exclude directories > edit file mask ... saves what I enter but the sync mask doesn't show up when I actually sync.

How can I save it? If it helps, on remote to local syncs I'm looking to exclude my local Archive/ folder from automatic deletions.

Thanks again!
