Can you send me an email, so I can send you back a debug version of WinSCP to track the problem? Please include link back to this topic in your email. Also note in this topic that you have sent the email. Thanks.

You will find my address (if you log in) in my forum profile.

Yes, it worked fine for me on my old machine. That's why I tried downgrading, since I had an older version before. When I setup this newer machine I installed the newest version. Can't seem to figure out what the problem is. Running same version of Windows with more ram and processing power. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Re: Loading files is slow (not transfering)

Did it ever work for you quickly?

Loading files is slow (not transfering)

I know there have been a lot of complaints of slow file transfer, I don't have any problem with that.

My problem is that when I open a directory with more then just a couple files it takes a very long time to load them all into the view. The first few (usually enough to fill the window) load just fine, but when I scroll down they start loading in very very slow (like one a second). This happens when viewing files both remotely or locally.

Anybody else have this problem?

Running WinSCP 4.2.5 (build 624) on a 3GHZ Core 2 Duo with 3 gigs of ram. Windows XP Pro.

Tried downgrading to older versions of WinSCP with no change.
