I'm confused. What do you mean by "users call"? If you mean that users execute the batch file from their machines, than the batch file is executed on their machines, no matter where the batch file is stored, isn't it?

I use WinSCP in batchmode at a customer and I recently enabled logging.
I was just looking at the logfile and one thing seems strange to me: the OS version was different at different times :?

Here is a snippet from the logfile:

Yesterday, the first time WinSCP started, "OS 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3" was mentioned. Afterwards, "OS 5.2.3790 Service Pack 2" was logged.

I googled and I guess that:
- "OS 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3" must be Windows XP
- "OS 5.2.3790 Service Pack 2" must be Windows 2003 Server

My question is: what OS version / information is logged? Is it the OS version of the machine WinSCP is started from?

The WinSCP.exe is placed on a Windows 2003 server machine. The MS-DOS batchfile that is calling this executable is on the same machine.

So I'm wondering why "OS 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3" is logged in the WinSCP logfile.

Can anyone explain this?
