FXP (File eXchange Protocol)

Hi,

Today I read about a protocol called FXP (File eXchange Protocol). Then I thought it is interesting if WinSCP can support it. It seems very practical. I read about it at: https://www.smartftp.com/en-us/support/kb/14 (sorry the non-intentional ad) and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File_eXchange_Protocol

I also have one more suggestion: the ability to put the Login/Connection/Key-passphrase screen at background for not interrupt the use of WinSCP.

Again the lots of "Memory access" or "Exception 0000??" errors that crashes WinSCP.

Thanks,
Ricardo

Edit: I read now this post: https://winscp.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2911 and thought: "Can FXP be a solution?"

Will read it first :-)

I do not understand.

I went the Login, Connection and Key-passphrase screens to be background screens. If they are foreground screens, I can't work on other things simultaneous.

I don't take notes when this happened. Next time I'll record it.

One suggestion for the Forums: add a link "Log In" at every forum's page, not only at the Forum Index.

Thanks.

Do you tank about background transfers? You can configure these dialogs not to popup automatically for background transfers.

I think the option "Transfer on background by default" affects only the Trasfer dialog, not the Login, Connection and Key-passphrase screens.

We probably mean different things. So once again.

Do you mean that you have one session already opened and while another session is being opened, you want to be able to work with the first one. Right?

OK. I'll add it to the wishlist. But as it is quite difficult to implement comparing with too little gain, I do not give it a priority.
