How do we use a separate connections.xml, from the Winscp.exe command line?

Hi,

If we Don't want to import a connections.xml file that was exported from another WinSCP installation, how do we specify on the command line to use that one?

Also, assuming it's possible to do this, is it advisable to use the WinSCP.exe in the Program Files folders, or from a Portable version in a different folder? Does that matter?

Sorry, I do not understand. First, WinSCP does not use any "connections.xml" file. WinSCP uses INI files. And what do you want to specify not to import (whatever) file? WinSCP does not import anything automatically.
