This happens on some servers. I may change the way properties are set, but it would slow down the transfer. But obviously I have to do it sometime :-(I'm using 3.5.0 and sftp and ssh2. When I copy a file from local to remote, the file always gets 600 as persmission, even though I set 644 (rw-r-r) in the copy dialog.
You may change permissions for all files at once, just select them and open properties dialog. This is a problem when I transfer lots of tile to my webserver, I don't want to choose properties on all files to manually change them..
Wouldn't this change permissions on folders too (if I'm in the root folder of www folder for instance)? (I haven't had time to try to confirm this thoughYou may change permissions for all files at once, just select them and open properties dialog.
Sure :-) X permission is added to owner/group/other only, if the particular group has also least R or W.I just saw.. "Add X to directories". I guess this is what I would want to do if I want all my files to be 644, and my folders 755.

Please try to specify in detail, what you ask me for. I do not understand. The SSH Communications "transfer client" (at https://www.ssh.com/) lets me change the permissions on a global basis for all uploads, both by files and by directories. Perhaps we should be able to do that in WinSCP?
