Advice needed: Proxy error source.
Hi,
I am using WinSCP to connect using SFTP to a remote site through a SOCKS5 proxy server.
Occasionally, I get 4 or 5 "General SOCKS server failure" errors in a row. Connections either side of this spate of errors work without issue.
I am trying to diagnose the root cause of these errors to determine whether the issue resides on the originating machine, the proxy server, or the remote site.
An excerpt from the WinSCP log is attached with DNS and IP addresses made anonymous. Any help much appreciated!
