scp illed error -> killed

Using the most recent version of winscp, sftp works fine. Scp copy attempt yields "scp coping files to remote failed" Details contains "lled", looks like killed. I have scp in the path on the remote and it is present, version from SUN Solaris 9, supports version 2.
What am I missing?

I reviewed the log file, very good suggestion on your part. I found that I had a missing support package, ncurses and missing support lib's on the solaris side. After adding them, connectivity was achieved.
