transfer file without having to navigate to it

Hi,

I sometimes have a fully qualified file name in my clipboard that i want to transfer, like /home/bart/dir1/dir2/file123.txt.
Is it possible to transfer that file directly, so without having to navigate to directory /home/bart/dir1/dir2 and then search that specific file in the list of files?

regards,
Bart

Re: transfer file without having to navigate to it

No it's not possible.

Though in the next version (5.8.3), you can easily add an extension that does this.

I'm sending you an email with a development version of WinSCP to the address you have used to register on this forum.

Save the following code to a file and add it as an extension
https://winscp.net/eng/docs/ui_pref_commands#extensions

Code moved to https://winscp.net/eng/docs/library_example_download_clipboard

i get:

Error: Exception setting "Path": "Cannot find path 'C:\Users\bheinsius\Downloads\WinSCP-20160521r_33e4977-Portable\WinSCPnet.dll' because it does not exist."
Press any key to exit...

Well, you have to store the binaries to the "Program Files". But actually, the 5.8.3 was released meanwhile, so just install it.
