Generally no. Though the answer is more complicated. Are you having some problem? What protocol?

Yes, if I use a password containing the Swedish characters å,ä,ö
connection is refused. I have checked that the password is set correctly on the server.
Still, it could be a server side issue?

Och för att ta det på svenska, om någon undrar så fungerar det inte alls att använda svenska tecken i lösenorden. Bugg i WinSCP, men man jobbar på det... men problemet är inte helt lätt att lösa vad jag förstår det som. Se tråden jag länkade till ovan.
