WinSCP consistently freezing

Hello,

I have installed the latest version of WinSCP but it is consistently freezing, it works well to start with but takes a few minutes to actually start the app. Once idle for a while it stops responding and the only way to close it is via Task Manager.

I am using Windows 10. I have read about a big fix here - https://winscp.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=28329 but the thread is closed.

Can someone supply me with the fix at all?
