Re: Overwrite remote file name and remove timestamp

Thank you, I am checking with our internal IT team and will pass this message on to them to generate logs if they are not able to resolve. Thank you for your help.

Re: Overwrite remote file name and remove timestamp

That's likely a "feature" of your server. Nothing you would be able to modify using any settings in WinSCP. Please talk to your server administrator.

If you believe otherwise, please attach a full session log file showing the problem (using the latest version of WinSCP).

To generate the session log file, enable logging, log in to your server and do the operation and only the operation that causes the error. Submit the log with your post as an attachment. Note that passwords and passphrases not stored in the log. You may want to remove other data you consider sensitive though, such as host names, IP addresses, account names or file names (unless they are relevant to the problem). If you do not want to post the log publicly, you can mark the attachment as private.

Overwrite remote file name and remove timestamp

One of the remote applications is scheduled to export daily files to SFTP server (winSCP) and I need the file name of the target file to remain the same. However it keeps, adding the time and date stamp with every new export. I am very new to this. I did uncheck the Preserve Time Stamp of each of the transfer settings and it doesn't work. Can someone please help me? It seems fairly straightforward that the file in the SFTP server should be overwritten with the latest file but I cannot figure it out.

Thank you so much in advance for any help.

Regards,
