Hi All,
Version: 6.3.5 (Build 14991 2024-09-10)
Windows 10
Protocol: SFTP
GUI Interface - Explorer
I try to take some time once a month to move older files from remote directories I use frequently to directories I don't use as much to lessen the amount of time it takes to load and/or search.
While moving large numbers of files by highlighting the ones I want to move, right-clicking and selecting Move I sometimes run into an issue where once the Move is finished the directory I am in is empty and shows no files. BUT I know the files are still there because if I copy a file from my local directory that I know is in the "empty" directory, I get a pop-up asking me if I want to Overwrite the file. See attached image.
It's hard to replicate the issue because it doesn't happen every time. It only seems to happen when moving a large number of files. In this most recent case, I was moving between 400 and 500 at a time, and it happened after I had already moved about 2,000 of them.
In the past, the directory has re-populated itself, although what causes it to re-populate seems to me to be random. Sometimes, all I need to do is copy a new file into the directory. Other times, closing WinSCP and re-opening it works. I've tried creating a new file, creating a new directory, copying multiple files into the directory... sometimes one of those will trigger it, sometimes it won't.
Any thoughts or suggestions on how to avoid this and what to do when it happens would be greatly appreciated.
