What version of WinSCP are you using? Please make sure you are using the latest one.

[solved] pls ask for password only once
I'm ask for a password during login (remote side does not accept public ssh key - FWIW).
If I then edit a file and want save it - I'm asked again for the (same) password.
I think this is a logic error b/c the password was already given, isn't it ?
