Thank you for the reply! The server belongs to a third party, I will have to liaise with their IT department. We just want to download files from the server. Just give me some time to get the logs.

Please attach a full log file showing the problem (using the latest version of WinSCP).
To generate log file, enable logging, log in to your server and do the operation and only the operation that causes the error. Submit the log with your post as an attachment. Note that passwords and passphrases not stored in the log. You may want to remove other data you consider sensitive though, such as host names, IP addresses, account names or file names (unless they are relevant to the problem). If you do not want to post the log publicly, you can mark the attachment as private.

I think that the folder I am trying to access is actually a shortcut and WinSCP is unable to get the real path. This should not be a problem, since the username that I connect with has sufficient access to the folder. And how is it possible that FileZilla is able to access the same folder?

Cannot get real path

WinSCP can't seem to list a remote directory. It gives a permissions error, but on FileZilla I am able to navigate to the folder. We use the WinSCP binary in our program, so using WinSCP is crucial!
Here is an extract from the log:
Changing directory to "".
Getting real path for ''
