Nextcloud public shares with password – Auth failure

WinSCP versions: 6.5.6 and 6.6.1 beta - GUI
MS Windows 10 Pro 22H2 and 11 Pro 25H2
WebDAV – NextCloud versions 32.0.8 and 33.0.2

Hi,
I have problems connecting to Nextcloud public shares, only if a password is requested.
With private shares (Nextcloud path /remote.php/dav/files/USERNAME) there are no problems, the auth process is ok and the credentials are accepted.
With public shares (Nextcloud path /public.php/dav/files/USERNAME) there are no problems if no password is set on the share, but if a password is required this error occurs:

401 Unauthorized - Connection failed.

With rclone and Cyberduck there are no problems at all, so I think it's a bug of WinSCP.

I wanted to test the Nextcloud. But it seems that they do offer only 1-hour tried. What seems like too short for any serious debugging. Would it be possible for you to setup a test share for me?

I've created two public share configs (see attachment).
Please note that NextCloud is very aggressive in securing access. If you provide me (privately) with the IP address from which you'll be running the tests, I'll temporarily whitelist it.
