Bug when selecting files with shift-arrows

When you select several files by pressing shift-down arrow, the selected filenames get their background blue, right?
If you just want to undo the last selection, by pressing shift-up arrow, it will not work. The file will remain with the blue background.
This is not how Windows Explorer and many other apps work. When you press shift-up arrow, the last items get their background color back to white, showing they are not selected anymore.
Thanks,

I've done a print screen to exemplify. As you can see from the dotted square, the third file is the one selected.
That's why I've selected the four files starting from the first one and then pressing the shift-down arrow. But, let's say I wanted to download only the first three files. In any other Windows app, to do so you just unselect the fourth file and get back to the third by pressing shift-up arrow.
As you can see, that really moved the dotted square back to the third file, but the fourth remained with the blue background, indicating that the fourth file was not unselected.
I hope that I made myself clear now.
Thanks.

Looks like your Ctrl key is stuck. But if the issue does not happen in Explorer then it shouldn't be.
What if you press up arrow more than once?

Believe me. This issue only happens with WinSCP. I'm a Delphi developer, so I'm used to debug apps, check issues with keys and verify all alternatives before reporting a problem.

Thanks anyway.

That's by design:

You can switch to the Windows Explorer-style selection mode in Preferences:

The dotted rectangle responds to the arrows, moving up and down accordingly. The problem is the blue background. This is what happens: whenever the filename background turns to blue -- meaning the file is selected -- you can't just reverse it with the shift-arrows, only by ctrl-clicking on it.

Again, that's by design. Focus is independent of selection and vice versa. If you do not like it, switch to Explorer-style selection as per my previous post.
