Resuming during directory scan

I have FTP in passive mode and very unstable connection in this mode. Also I need to synchronize massive directory tree with many files. It makes the mission almost impossible cause it drops during directiory scan. It auto reconnects, but process stops! I request to resume directory scan after reconnect.
