How to get winscp to use only 1 ssh connection when saving

Currently winscp opens 2 ssh connections: one for file browsing and one for saving files that I have opened to edit. How can i get it to reuse the same connection for this?

This feature was discontinued in 4.1 beta, unfortunately.
