5.0.4 - Invalid access to memory

Cannot start WSCP (Invalid access to memory) when
[Configuration]
JumpList="<anything>"
is present in WinSCP.ini

With
[Configuration]
JumpList=
(no value) it works.

5.0.3 set that value when it was used, therefore I couldn't start after updating.
5.0.4 also sets that value after connecting to a server, and can't start a second time.

How do I disable Jumplists until you fix it?

PS.: W7 x64

Well, it seems to be a showstopper at least for you. For me it works.

I have sent you an email with a link to a debug version.

Exact same error, Win7 64bit.

However the WinSCP.ini file is not in the WinSCP program directory, and it did not turn up in a full system search.

Can you send me an email, so I can send you back a debug version of WinSCP to track the problem? Please include link back to this topic in your email. Also note in this topic that you have sent the email. Thanks.

Re: 5.0.4 - Invalid access to memory

I also get this error often during a session, if I click it away I can carry on using it, but if I leave it for long enough after I confirm it closes the program. Had this problem with all v5 betas.

I use the ini file so I can use my saved sessions on multiple PCs or after a OS reinstall. I tried changing to registry setting to see if it would help, but I still got the error.

I have 3 entries in JumpList and no master password. It starts and runs without problems.

I receive the "Invalid access to memory" error message after network disconnects (when returning from sleep, for example.)

I enabled logging level 2 and extracted below several lines around the moment when the error message is displayed

I can send you the entire file if it helps you identify the problem (or you could send me the debug version if the log doesn't help.)
The problem is also present in 5.0.3. I am not sure about 5.0.1 and 5.0.2.
I run WinSCP 5.0.4 on Win7+SP1 (32 bits)

Thank you.

Re: 5.0.4 - Invalid access to memory

ah that could very well be the problem, I get disconnected often from one server, and automatically reconnected, as I did in v4- but I didn't get the Invalid access to memory error with the earlier versions

Are you getting the error also with 5.0.5 beta?

The same question? Are you getting the error also with 5.0.5 beta?

If you are, can you send me an email, so I can send you back a debug version of WinSCP to track the problem? Please include link back to this topic in your email. Also note in this topic that you have sent the email. Thanks.

Version 5.0.5 beta displays the same message to me.
I sent you an email asking for the debug version.

Thank you.

I'm on Windows 7 and running 5.0.5 beta. I've receive the "Invalid access to memory" error daily since upgrading to version 5. The error primarily occurs when coming out of Sleep or Hibernation. Prior versions of WinSCP would just reconnect and be happy. This version throws the error message (three times) and exits.

I'd be willing to use the debug version to help isolate the problem.

Invalid Access to Memory

I am getting this error all the time with graphical version 5.0.7

I don't know whether this is related but I have local side (my PC) and remote side (Unix).
When I double-click on a .dbf file on the Linux side it appears to copy it over and open
Excel correctly but then I get a "file not found" error and a blank Excel worksheet. So
I may have 1 problem here or 2 separate problems.

Has this been fixed somewhere?
