WinSCP ftps connection fails intermittently/corrupts data

Hi,

Im having problems copying files from local host to remote host using ftps ( WinSCP 5.0.5 and earlier), intermittently when I drag 'n drop a file from local host to remote host root folder time left/bytes transferred/speed all stay at 0 (zero) and connection is lost (timesout), other times initial connection succeeds but part way through transfer connection times out and reconnects but remote resultant file on remote host is corrupted. Direct internet connection to remote host always succeeds, problem is only apparent when connecting to remote host via squid or socks (using open ACL's) and open firewall local end. Filezilla doesn't exhibit these symptoms making me believe that the data sent by winscp is corrupted. Ive tried changing various timeout parameters in WinSCP with no success.

ss5.log:
[06/Dec/2011:16:02:25 GMT] [24016] 192.168.0.121 "CONNECT" STARTED 0 0 0 (192.168.0.121:1452 -> 82.108.207.105:9027)

tcpdump:
Just prior to the following sequence there are several exchanges between 49243 and 50021 command port, 9027 being the data port.

localhost-direction-remotehost
41354 -> 9027
49243 <- 50021
49243 -> 50021
41354 <- 9027
41354 -> 9027
Hang until winscp times out and terminates connection.

ss5.log:
[ERRO] $ReceivingData$: (Connection reset by peer).

The data all looks encrypted so there is no obvious clues in tcpdump outputs.

Any ideas please?

Thank you,

Best Regards - Colin

Re: WinSCP ftps connection fails intermittently/corrupts data

Can you please email me a log file both from WinSCP and Filezilla?
