Authentication fails with WinSCP.com but fine in GUI

Using version 5.05, build 1782.
SFTP protocol on Win XP.
Connecting to HP NSK servers.

I can logon fine with pre-entered password in the GUI, but when using WinSCP.com for scripting, I get this below:

Authenticating...
Using username "xxxx.yyyy".
Authenticating with pre-entered password.
Connection has been unexpectedly closed. Server sent command exit status 0.
Authentication log (see session log for details):
Using username "xxxx.yyyy".

Authentication failed.

In the GUI the server responds with a message about last successful and unsuccessful attempts and number of failures and expects an OK. I verified this with psftp as well.

It does. it is my workaround for now.

Please email me a logs both from GUI and script.
