Cannot access Directories

Hello *,
i cant list any directory on my mediaplayer.
I think it is the same problem as here:
https://winscp.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6470

I try to access my Mediaplayer with WINSCP. There is a stupid-ftpd installed.
With Filezilla all is working very well, also with standard Windows FTP command.
I have already tested with active and passiv ftp, no success...
Can anybody help me ?

I have played around.
WINSCP has no problem with servers who respond to pwd with /folder, but when the server respond with folder/, i get the error.
Unfortunetly i have no possibilty to control this behavior.

Ok, when i sent cwd commands via terminal to my server i can navigate to my wanted folder.
I find it is clear, the problem is / before and / behind the folder.
Hopefully it will be fixed.

regards

Re: Cannot access Directories

Can you send me an email, so I can send you back a debug version of WinSCP to track the problem? Please include link back to this topic in your email. Also note in this topic that you have sent the email. Thanks.

You will find my address (if you log in) in my forum profile.

I "think" I know what might have caused this

OK, so I installed this ftp server on my Android 4.2.1 tablet

<invalid hyperlink removed by admin>

and using the option "Restrict to Default Directory"

https://groups.google.com/forum/#!searchin/andreasliebigapps/Restrict$20to$20Default$20Directory|sort:relevance/andreasliebigapps/HnDwBgyZKgU/-wBGis83FrgJ

is what's causing the problem. That is kind of security setting on ftp server, honoured by Winscp, but not by other ftp clients, notably by standard built in Windows CLI client or Filezilla, they all seem to work and provide access to other directories, as already mentioned in this thread. That's kind of hypothesis by now, didn't have chance to try to untick that option yet, but I'll let you know.

that's not it

Unfortunately, that does not help. There is some other problem with that ftp server in conjuction with WinSCP. :(
