I got an issue with creating rar archives

hi when i try to create a rar archive for a setof files and folders then it only archive the files and ignore the folders which does not archive all the stuff .i use the code as below

rar a -ep "!?&Enter an Archive Name:?archive.rar!" !&

please some one here who expert on this help me to solve this issue.
