Problem with using WinSCP behind SOCKS5 Proxy

Hi,

I try to use winSCP 5.1.0 (Build 2625) connecting to an SFTP Server. Because I'm behind a Firewall i would like to use a SOCKS5 Proxy on Bluecoat Appliance.

Using WinSCP without a Proxy (direct connection to Internet) is OK:

This is an log from such an session: Direct_winSCP.log

When using an Socks5 Proxy, I can't connect to the SFTP-Site: Proxy_winSCP.log

I send also my WINSCP.ini.

Maybe you can help me?

Can you please first try to connect using PuTTY or any other SSH client? Please attach a log file for that too.

Hi Martin,

I downloaded putty already some days ago,
but I'm not really sure how to use this to test the connection to the sftp-server

I got this:

Protocol mismatch.

Looks like the very same problem. Sorry, have no idea how to help you.
