Connection Problem

Hi,

I am using the latest version of WinSCP on Vista and trying to connect to my host server and upload files via SFTP. I am running into trouble with simply trying to connect. It keeps timing out and trying to reconnect. This is my first time with WinSCP and have not been able to connect with it. I do have Filezilla and can connect using that but I put in the same stuff (hostname and passwords) into WinSCP and it won't connect. I have added/allowed WinSCP through the computer's firewall, but it still didn't do anything. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I found the answer and was able to connect. I was reading the troubleshooting connection issues here https://winscp.net/eng/docs/troubleshooting and then clicked on common error messages. I ultimately had to change the protocol to FTP and not SFTP.
