connecting to server

Server unexpectedly closed network connection Error. I can log into the xyz server from a friends house and it works fine. I am able to log on to ABC server from my house using sftp WinSCP but it is just the xyz server I can't log in on either of my computers. I have Norton Internet Security on both pc's windows 7 and vista OS. I was thinking some setting on firewall issue?
