WinSCP only works when on my organisations VPN. HELP?

Hi,

I have recently been provided access to a FTP site, however when I use WinSCP I can only access this site whilst I am on my organisations VPN.

When on a local site, it crashes every time at the 'Searching for hos...' and then displays the message 'Network error. Connection Timed Out'

Any advice on what I may need to change to get this working when on site.
