winscp 5.1.7 listing command isn't changeable

I use WinSCP 5.1.7 for connecting with SCP.
Out of the logfile:
> 2013-09-02 10:49:15.593 ls -la ; echo "WinSCP: this is end-of-file:$status"
< 2013-09-02 10:49:15.859 Gesamt 202418
< 2013-09-02 10:49:15.859 drwxr-xr-x 22 psinl psi 1536 Sep 2 10:34 .
...
there is seen that in listing is an entry of "Gesamt 202418" - this leads to
Error:
Unexpected directory listing line 'Gesamt 202418'.
Invalid rights description 'esamt 202'
It's too bad, that I can't change listing command to 'ls -la | grep -v Gesamt' due to
the buttons aren't sensitive.
please can you help me
George

Re: winscp 5.1.7 listing command isn't changeable

1) WinSCP tries hard to set the environment on session start back to English. This seems to fail in your case (or you have disabled the functionality). Can you attach a complete session log file? Do you know how to force the listing to be in English?
2) Not sure what you mean by "the buttons aren't sensitive.". If you mean that Listing command box is disabled, it likely because you have SFTP protocol enabled and this is SCP option. Note that WinSCP by default falls back to SCP, if SFTP does not work on the server. But if you want to configure SCP options, you need to select SCP protocol explicitly.
3) Note that the grep hack won't help as you still probably have month names in German in the listing.

I would still be interested in answers to my questions above. How did you switch the language?
